Weather: 9am. Overcast but dry. Will probably clear later - as usual.

Ferries are as normal today apart from the Naomh Ciaran ferry where the crew will be on strike on Thursday 18th June, so it is best to catch Cailin Oir from Baltimore or Karycraft from Schull. Ferry crew do not want to inconwenience visitors and are happy for all visitors catch the alternative ferries.

Weather: Rained overnight. But hot and sunny at 8am. Clear blue skies.
Sea is flat calm.
Ferries are as normal today but there is a strike on the Naomh Ciaran ferry on Thursday 18th June, so it is best to catch Cailin Oir from Baltimore or Karycraft from Schull.

Please note that the striking crew will be supported by most of the islanders and they tell us that they want all visitors to enjoy their visit to Cape regardless of the strike. The striking crew would prefer you to catch the alternative ferries; the Cailin Oir from Baltimore, or the Karycraft from Schull.

Regardless of the weather the Clonakilty Gael Scoil children were like dolphins in the harbour. They spent much of the day in the sea Kayaking & snorkelling and the rest of the time, when they were dry, playing table tennis in Cape Clear Hostel.
