Wet or Dry:
Dry all day. Started to rain a little at 3pm. Overcast from then on.
Birds
All quiet thanks to a bit of a wind, which raises the possibility of some rarities being blown in.
Chickens x 5: Maggie; Oraiste; Teapot; Billybob; Ginger
Plumage: looking good
Eggs: 2 by 10am
Flowers
Fuschia is still a delight and full of bees buzzing.
Marigolds are gorgeous.
Geraniums are in flower.
Too many flowers to mention them all.
Vegetables from the walled garden
Lettuce
Onion
Carrots
Spinach
Cabbage
Beetroot
Potatoes
Planted turnips
Sunny or Cloudy:
Clear sunny skies.
Temperature:
Still very mild but with a little wind chill.
Windy or Still:
The wind is stiff.
Sea Condition:
Little, cresting, greenish blue waves and a touch rough but truly beautiful. Reminds me of the paintings you can buy at coastal resorts. The draw in the harbour stopped the afternoon ferries from sailing.
Tides - approx:
High: 03.58
Low : 10.26
High: 16.27
Low : 22.58
Using 24 hour clock
Water Shortages
Please use water sparingly as water is still rationed on Cape
Fishing:
Worth a try later if the wind drops.
Thought for today:
Calculate the number of hours you spend in your car each day, multiply it by 1200, divide by 24 and you will have the number of days you will waste over your working life - yes it is too much.
